(Washington, D.C.) – November 19, 2006 – Steven Ford, GRAMMY, Dove and Stellar Award winning producer, arranger and songwriter, is one of the busiest producers in the gospel music business. The visionary behind recent projects from Vickie
Winans and Stephen Hurd as well as the highly-anticipated release from Richard
Smallwood, Ford has been in demand. One of his creations will be hitting television as The Church of the Redeemed of the Lord’s (CRL) DVD recording, hosted by Dr.
Jerome Stokes, will be shown on the Word Network on three successive Sundays - Sunday, November 19 & 26 and December 3, 2006 at 4:30PM (EST) during The Lamp of Victory, CRL’s weekly broadcast.
With credits like Bishop T.D. Jakes, Shirley Caesar, Donnie McClurkin & The McClurkins and John P. Kee under his belt, Ford has also produced some of the genre’s most popular independent projects. Songs like “Come Bless His Name” recorded by Professor Wilbur Belton and the LADWEC Music Mass Choir, “I Was Created To Worship You” recorded by Straight Gate Mass Choir and “Hide Me” recorded by Pastor Bruce Parham have flaunted the incredible gifting of Ford. The Church of the Redeemed of the Lord, located in Baltimore, Maryland, where Bishop Jerome Stokes serves as pastor, called on the expertise of “The Pastor Of Music” as well for their latest recording, Oh Most High.
During the live DVD and CD recording,
the CRL Mass Choir gives the gospel music lover their fill with
expeditious praise songs like “Redeemed” and “Higher”. The
sounds of old-time church are sweet with songs like “I
Won’t Turn Back” and the praise break track, “Two
Minutes”. Other moving tracks include the soothing “Afterwhile” and
the reverent “Majesty”. Portions of the live
DVD recording, produced by Steven
Ford’s S. Ford Music, will be shown on the church’s
Word Network broadcast on Sunday, November 19 & 26 and
December 3, 2006 at 4:30PM (EST).
In addition to putting the finishing touches on gospel classical composer Richard Smallwood’s pending release, Journey, Ford, author of Can I Take Your Order?, a book detailing the role of the worship leader, is planning a 2007 music conference.
