Record Industry Publicist, Video/TV Producer and CEO-DDL Entertainment,
Darryl Lassiter will produce his 50th music video for Contemporary Christian/Gospel
Artist AMI RUSHES in the coming weeks.
Lassiter’s most recent video was with the ‘Queen of Gospel Videos’ – VICKIE
WINANS for her latest single “It’s Alright” featuring his alma
Alabama State University’s Marching Hornets Band. Lassiter and Winans have
teamed up for a dozen music videos over the past decade including “Long
As I Got King Jesus”, “If You Believe”, “Shake Yourself
Loose”, the Stellar Award winning “Shook”, “We Need A
Word From The Lord” and many more.
“I have had the privilege of producing music videos in such genres as
Jazz, Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop and mostly Gospel,” says Lassiter. “In
Gospel, I am mostly identified with Vickie Winans. She and I are like Quincy
Jones and Michael Jackson. When we get together, it’s magic. She works
as hard as I do and is such a professional. There is nothing she will not do
to make her videos perfect. That’s why she’s the queen.”
Lassiter has produced videos in such major cities as Philadelphia,
New York, Washington DC, Atlanta, Detroit, Cincinnati, Chicago & Dallas and now moves
west to Los Angeles for two videos with AMI RUSHES for “Holy Ghost” and
the Andrae Crouch classic “Through It All” from her latest album
COVERING.
“I am thankful that Gospel’s Ambassador Dr. Bobby Jones recommended
me for these videos on Ami Rushes,” says Lassiter. “Super marketing
specialist Neily Dickerson sealed the deal for me and I thank both of them.” I
also thank all the labels, artists, crews and casts I have worked with since
producing my first music video in 1990. It took 16 years to get to number 50,
but I am grateful I am still making quality videos after all this time.”
Lassiter also produces live concert videos, TV commercials, electronic press
kits, documentaries and even completed a movie “Pay The Price” – the
subject now of a major lawsuit against 20th Century Fox over the movie DRUMLINE.
