SENSATION DEITRICK HADDON RECEIVES GRAMMY NOMINATION FOR LOST AND
FOUND ALBUM
Minister Deitrick Haddon has been nominated for a 2003 Grammy Award
for Best Contemporary Soul Gospel Album. The 45th Annual Grammy Award
Show will be aired on February 23, at 8 p.m., on CBS.
Haddon's
hard work and determination has established him as one of the most creative
and spirit-filled gospel performers of today. Haddon received the nomination
based on the phenomenal success of his solo project, Lost and Found,
released on August 6, 2002 on the Verity Records label.
In this,
his sixth major release, Haddon uses ballads and fast-tempo beats to
deliver a strong Christian message to listeners. Beginning his recording
career in the mid-90s with his 13-strong Voices of Unity choir, he released
Come Into This House on the Tyscot label. Today, Minister Haddon is
the youth pastor and music director of the Unity Cathedral of Faith
located in Detroit, Michigan.
Haddon
is an excellent songwriter and producer and performs with a high level
of intensity and emotion that is unparallel to many. He is anointed
to lead today's gospel music to a new era of sound and eclecticism.
Deitrick
Haddon is available for radio interviews and can be seen on tour with
Fred Hammond, Mary Mary and Dorinda Clark Cole beginning February 28,
2003.
