Susan L. Taylor to Headline Freedom Institute’s Sixth Annual Power Economics Luncheon, Thursday, April 26, 2007 at Cobo

Detroit, MI (March 31, 2007) — The Freedom Institute is proud to announce that Susan L. Taylor, the Publisher Emeritus of Essence Magazine, will be the keynote speaker for The Power Economic Luncheon, to be held at Cobo Convention Center on Thursday, April 26, 2007 from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.

Freedom Weekend, a three-day event held annually, is scheduled for April 26-28, 2007 at Cobo Center. The event consists of about 18 major activities that include workshops, public forums, health expos, health screenings, health walk/run, youth symposium, a Religious Leaders Breakfast, a step competition, a restaurant and club crawl, and much more.

Taylor is most recognized as the “ESSENCE” behind the world renowned magazine that she helped to launch. “We are honored to have Ms. Taylor’s participation as the keynote speaker of the luncheon. As the Editorial Director of Essence Magazine and author of many spiritually uplifting novels, [In the Spirit: The Inspirational Writings and, Lessons in Living; and Confirmation: The Spiritual Wisdom That Has Shaped Our Lives] I’m certain that her words of inspiration will be motivational to all of those who will be in attendance” says Maryann Lee, Executive Director, Freedom Institute.
