Bishop Donald Hilliard Jr. invites Pastors, Praise and Worship Leaders, Elders, Deacons and Trustees to this time of refueling, reviving and refreshing. Safe Harbor was designed to give pastors and leaders an opportunity to get away for a time impartation; a time to hear from God about effectively serving your family and the ministry to which you were called. A time to gain greater insights into how to minister to your first church your family will produce a generational blessing. You will also spend time with various professionals learning how to prevent burnout, effectively plan financially and to bring God’s focus on the family back to pastors.

"SAY YES", is a familiar phrase often heard reverberating throughout the services at the historic The Cathedral Second Baptist Church in Perth Amboy, NJ. It has become a trademark of Donald Hilliard Jr., the prolific and visionary leader who, at the age of 26, became the church's Senior Pastor. As the son of Alease Hilliard-Chapman and the late Donald Hilliard, Sr., Hilliard credits his parents for providing a stable and loving home where education and hard work were emphasized. Dr. Hilliard's willingness to say "Yes" to the Lord fostered his ability to grow the church from 125 in 1983 to well over 7,000 members today. Now, as "One Church in Three Locations," this vibrant ministry has grown to serving the specific needs of three locations of worship in urban areas of New Jersey: Cathedral International in Perth Amboy, The Cathedral Assembly by the Shore in Asbury Park, and The Cathedral Assembly in Fields in Plainfield. As a result of Bishop Hilliard's unwavering faith, multifaceted mindset, and ability to "trust God," over fifty ministries are at work within the three cities, with many of the members traveling from throughout the tri-state region of New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York. The Cathedral is recognized as a growing and relevant church and has been cited by American Baptist Churches, USA as a model church for growth. He is the husband of Minister Phyllis Thompson-Hilliard, an author and preacher. Together, they are the proud and thankful parents of three lovely daughters.
